Owner/Operator of Request Holdings Ltd., Mike Soderstrom has well over a decade of experience with hauling companies and septic system maintenance.

Even before beginning Request Holdings in 2006, Mike has held various long term positions with respected companies across Canada where he learned everything he could about his chosen fields. Mike is always looking for new ways to challenge today’s conventions about the impact of the waste hauling industry and septic services on the environment by providing unique solutions and education to clients which help improve the world, little by little. Although born in Alberta, Mike’s parents moved his family to BC when he was 5 years old & then to Vancouver Island just before high school.

Since then he has travelled and worked all over BC & Alberta honing his skills, when he met & married his wife Lisa in Alberta. When he became a family man, Mikes’ passion for Vancouver Island rubbed off on his wife and they decided to move back, where they settled in Cedar just outside of Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, BC to raise their family.

Mike and Lisa now have 3 beautiful children who they love teaching about the joys of living in such a beautiful coastal community as Nanaimo and Cedar. Mike and his 2 sons love to be active and outdoors, taking advantage of the many mountain biking trails. They frequently go quadding and take advantage of the abundant fishing spots across Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Mikes young daughter does not share her 2 brothers and fathers interest in hunting and fishing but spends her days busily exploring the world in her own way.
